Terms of Service.
Plain-language terms for using this site. The actual rules for a paid project — scope, price, timeline — are a separate written agreement, agreed before any work starts. This page covers everything before that.
Using this site
This site is informational, plus a self-serve diagnostic tool. Browsing it, reading it, or using the diagnostic doesn't create a client relationship, a contract, or any obligation on either side. That starts only once we've agreed in writing — by email — on scope, price, and timeline for actual work.
The diagnostic tool
The diagnostic on /diagnostic.html produces rough estimates from the numbers you enter — it's a starting point for a conversation, not a guarantee, an audit, or professional financial, tax, or legal advice. Don't make business decisions based on it alone. If a number surprises you, that's exactly what the follow-up conversation is for.
Paid work
Every project is fixed-scope and fixed-price, or — for ongoing work like a retainer — priced on its own terms, agreed in writing before I start. The specifics of that agreement, not this page, govern the work. Nothing on this site should be read as a quote, an offer, or a commitment to build anything for any particular price.
Content and ownership
The text, design, and case studies on this site are mine, used with permission where they describe someone else's business (like the CT case study). Don't reproduce this site's content elsewhere without asking. FamRight is a separate product with its own terms, referenced here only as an example of my work.
Third-party links
Links to Substack, FamRight, and Instagram lead to services I don't control past the point of the link. Their terms, not mine, govern what happens there.
No warranty, limited liability
This site and its diagnostic tool are provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. I'm not liable for decisions made based on information here, or for any indirect or consequential loss connected to using this site. This doesn't limit or override whatever's agreed in a separate written contract for paid work.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
